What is collected

  • Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand what gets read: pages viewed, approximate location (country or city level), device and browser type, and interactions such as clicks on source links and how far pages are scrolled. This may involve cookies and similar identifiers where you have allowed them (see consent, below).   • Consent choice. If you are shown the consent banner, your choice is stored in your own browser (localStorage) so you are not asked again. It never leaves your device except as the consent signal sent to Google.
  • Hosting logs. The site runs on Cloudflare's network, which processes IP addresses and request data to serve and secure the site (Cloudflare's privacy policy).

What is not collected

  • No advertising trackers: the site runs no ads, and all advertising signals in Google's consent framework are permanently set to denied.
  • No accounts, no forms, no email capture: the site never asks you to enter personal information.
  • No sale or sharing of personal data with anyone beyond the processors named above (Google for analytics, Cloudflare for hosting).

Consent, and how to opt out

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland see a consent banner before any analytics identifiers are used; declining means the site sends only cookieless, aggregate signals. Everywhere else, analytics runs by default. To opt out anywhere: use your browser's tracking protections, install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or block the googletagmanager.com domain with any content blocker; the site works identically without analytics. If you previously accepted via the banner and change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will ask again.

Retention

Analytics event data is retained in Google Analytics under its standard controls and is used only in aggregate to understand readership. The site's publisher does not maintain any separate database of visitors.
